Marina combarro, Jack Nichol award for excellence in Marinas

The Jack Nichol Award for Excellence in Marine Design was created in 2002 with the aim of recognizing the excellence in the design of modern nautical recreational facilities around the world. The PIANC Recreational Navigation Commission evaluates the candidates and awards the prize based on the criteria of functionality, aesthetics and environmental sustainability. In previous editions, the prize was awarded to sailors from the US, Italy, Portugal and Australia.

n 2012 Marina Combarro was awarded with this prize for being an example of urban and environmental integration and the demonstration of how a medium-sized marina can restructure a territory respecting the landscape, the heritage and the environment for the enjoyment of residents and navigators.
